What are the must needed components to play games at 1440p?

A Gpu that can output 1440p and a monitor that can display it

Depends what games, what graphic settings and at what fps. I have a 4090/7800x3d and I game at 1440p. You can do it with a lot less if you don't care about high graphics settings or high fps.
